Cristiano Ronaldo wants Juventus to go after Atletico Madrid superstar midfielder Saul Niguez.

Juventus needs to make a few additions to their squad if they are to realistically compete for the UEFA Champions League in the next few years. Cristiano Ronaldo may have a good idea.

Juventus have been pretty inconsistent under Maurizio Sarri throughout the season and it’s fair to say that they owe it to Cristiano Ronaldo for bailing them out at times. The Portugal international has been the difference on several occasions for the defending Serie A champions and it’s evident that they need to make attacking recruitments.

Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey were signed in the last summer in order to rebuild the midfield, but neither player has been able to perform at his best. Rabiot was isolated at PSG as a result of his contract talks being stagnated, whereas Ramsey is simply not the kind of player he was at Arsenal if not better since the start of this season.

Miralem Pjanic has probably been the only commendable midfielder who contributes in an attacking sense. The Bosnian is also 31 and it’s high time that the Bianconeri land someone who can do the trick for longer. Don Balon reports that Ronaldo has asked his side to make a move for Atletico Madrid’s attacking midfielder Saul Niguez.

Saul has been incredibly good for Diego Simeone’s side in the last few years and it’s fair to say that he is one of the best players in La Liga, and perhaps better than any of Juventus’ current midfielders. With that being said, his eye for goal, coupled with remarkable control of the ball has proven to be an asset for his club as well as national side.

Besides Juventus, it is thought that the player has been debited with interest from Barcelona as well as Manchester United due to talk that he may want to leave in order to get his hands on some silverware. Atletico Madrid value their star player at 100 million euros, but may negotiate if the Spaniard officially confirms his desire to leave.

For Juventus, Saul’s signing would be a sensational one as he can offer a lot of control in the engine room, something that the side has visibly lacked since Paul Pogba’s departure in 2016. 100 million euros is certainly a hefty price tag, but if the Italians can offload some deadweight, the price tag wouldn’t faze them as such.

Do you think the Bianconeri must spend 100 million euros on signing Saul Niguez?
