Juventus are willing to trade Paulo Dybala to get Neymar?
Juventus reportedly have eyes on PSG superstar Neymar, but they know they will need to give up a star player of their own in order to get a deal done.
While PSG will do whatever they can to keep Kylian Mbappe despite Real Madrid’s best efforts, their other superstar, Neymar, could be available this summer for the right swap deal. Last year, FC Barcelona tried to reunite with the Brazilian star, but their swap deals were underwhelming. This year, Juventus could be a sleeper team to give PSG the right offer.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, football transfers will look a lot different. The diminished cash flow means that swap deals will rule the day, and Juventus are already in talks with Barcelona for a swap deal involving Miralem Pjanic, who could also be traded to Chelsea for Maurizio Sarri’s favored target Jorginho.
According to a report from 7 Gold, via MARCA, the Bianconeri are interested in acquiring PSG superstar Neymar this summer. They know they need more star power near Cristiano Ronaldo in order to win the Champions League, which is their only goal since acquiring Ronaldo for 100 million euros from Real Madrid.
Acquiring Neymar won’t be easy. PSG don’t like selling any players, especially superstar players. Neymar was arguably the best player in the world in 2019-2020 when healthy, becoming an even more lethal playmaker and creator for the Ligue 1 giants.
However, Juve are reportedly willing to trade a star of their own in Paulo Dybala, who is also coming off an excellent season. Dybala has consistency issues, but he can score absolute wondergoals and has elite technical class.
Neymar seems like a pipe dream for Juventus, since the logistics of a deal are difficult to set up. Even if the Bianconeri add Dybala, they’ll still have to make up the difference either with cash or another player – and PSG are tough to please in player swaps, as Barcelona can attest.
Beyond that, while Neymar is indeed the player who can help bring a Champions League trophy to Turin, his injury issues and salary make him a risky signing.
