Juventus superstar attacker Paulo Dybala has been mentioned in some transfer rumors this summer, but his future clearly lies in Turin.

Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly the biggest superstar on Juventus, but over the long term, Paulo Dybala is the most valuable attacking player the club has for the future. Therefore, it is imperative for the Bianconeri to sign him to an extension.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via JuveFC.com, Juve plan on doing exactly that. Per GdS, the Bianceroni will sign Dybala to an extension through the 2024-2025 season, which is actually one year longer than initially expected.

Dybala is coming off an excellent 2019-2020 Serie A campaign for the Old Lady of Turin, as only Ronaldo was more impressive. The 26-year-old scored seven goals and four assists, coming up with moments of magic in clutch situations to help the Bianconeri keep up in a heated title race with Inter Milan and Lazio.

The Argentine forward averaged more than three shots per game, completed nearly 88 percent of his passes, and oozed class and creativity. WhoScored.com had him tabbed with a team-high 2.0 key passes per game and 1.9 dribbles per game, highlighting his importance to the team as the main attacking star next to Ronaldo.

Dybala’s extension is a no-brainer. While swap deals involving Dybala have been floated around, the only player who would be worth using Dybala to get is PSG’s Neymar, and there’s just about no way Juventus can accommodate him. Furthermore, Dybala is less prone to injury and a couple of years younger.

Next. Juventus, United need to agree to this swap deal. dark

If the 26-year-old signs the extension with the Bianconeri shortly, as expected, he will remain with the team until he is 31. That means Juve should have one of their most valuable players locked in for the prime of his career before reevaluating the merits of a second contract with the star.
