CB Leonardo Bonucci

Juventus star center back Leonardo Bonucci is one of the best defenders in Europe, as his experience and passing ability make him an invaluable part of Juve’s back four. Bonucci will need to read the game perfectly against Bologna, who love to spread defenses wide.

Veteran striker Rodrigo Palacio has always been a quality player in Serie A, and his link-up play and movement could cause all sorts of problems. Bonucci will need to be a step ahead of the former Inter man and then show the passing ability to quickly get the ball up the field.

CF Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has been woeful since football’s return. He worked hard against Milan but was a nonfactor, making silly mistakes when trying to pass to Paulo Dybala or look for teammates. And his poor defensive effort makes him a liability on those quick counters from the opposition.

Ronaldo needs to step up, plain and simple. Juventus bought him to be a superstar player who can win them trophies, and he didn’t play well at all in a game with a trophy on the line on Wednesday against Napoli.

The good thing for the Portugal captain is that Bologna’s defense can easily be picked apart.
