RW Federico Bernardeschi

Federico Bernardeschi is at his best when he’s playing as a winger, and after a few bright moments in the recent Coppa Italia fixtures, he really went ahead and tore it up against Bologna in Serie A’s first game of the restart.

His assist for Paulo Dybala’s goal was almost as delightful as the strike itself, as he set up the Argentine star with a perfect backheel. Bernardeschi had four key passes in the win, as he constantly created great chances for his teammates. Cristiano Ronaldo, in particular, should have stuffed away one glorious pass into the dead center of the penalty area.

Here’s to hoping Bernardeschi puts together more displays like this one.

RB Juan Cuadrado

Last but not least, Juan Cuadrado deserves a shoutout for his excellent performance against Bologna. Now the only healthy fullback in the squad, Cuadrado worked so hard offensively and defensively. Play ran through the right side of Juve’s formation, giving Ronaldo space on the left while also taking pressure off Mattia De Sciglio to carry the ball.

Cuadrado hustled hard, making more defensive interventions than anyone with three tackles and four interceptions. He showed his skill dribbling past pressing attackers in tight spaces to build play for Juventus, winning three dribbles and drawing a team-high six fouls in the process. There’s no doubt that Cuadrado is a crucial part of the Old Lady’s starting XI.
