LCM Adrien Rabiot

Adrien Rabiot has not been an impressive player for Juventus in the 2019-2020 season, but the Bianconeri can trust him to start against Lecce. He’ll have the easiest matchup of any Juve midfielder on that left side, so Maurizio Sarri will need Rabiot to provide more ball-carrying and incisive passing. Usually, his passing his clean, but it is often aimless. And defensively, Rabiot’s work rate can sometimes be called into question. He and Matuidi need to be on the same page this Friday.

CM Miralem Pjanic

The quality is still there with Miralem Pjanic, but the motivation can be questioned with the player so close to getting his dream move to Barcelona in a swap deal involving the young Arthur Melo. It’s a deal that Juventus fans are undoubtedly excited about, and Pjanic has only increased their excitement by playing well below his standards over the past couple of games. He was a nonfactor against Bologna, and Bianconeri fans may not have high hopes for his play against Lecce either.

RCM Rodrigo Bentancur

Rodrigo Bentancur is the best midfielder in Turin, and Juve fans are excited to see how he and Arthur Melo can combine in the future if a deal does get done. On Monday, Bentancur had a quiet game against Bologna, whereas he was a standout in midfield in the recent Coppa Italia fixtures. Bentancur will likely draw the start on the right with Pjanic in the middle, but once Aaron Ramsey returns to fitness, he’ll be the team’s centerpiece player in that regista role.
