Juventus will face Lecce on Friday night at the Allianz Stadium.

While Juventus didn’t show their full sharpness and have continued question marks in midfield, they were able to win 2-0 against Bologna on the road in their first Serie A game. The Bianconeri showed more individual brilliance than they did in either Coppa Italia fixture after football’s return, with Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi shining brighter than everyone else.

On Friday, the Bianconeri will face Lecce in Turin, and they will need to keep a close eye on their fullback situation after Mattia De Sciglio’s injury and Danilo’s suspension.

Here are five players who must shine for Juventus against Lecce.

The focus will be placed on Blaise Matuidi, who will have to fill in at left back with Alex Sandro and Mattia De Sciglio injured. Danilo is the usual emergency option, but he got himself suspended with two yellow cards against Bologna despite coming on as a substitute.

Matuidi has been one of Europe’s better midfielders over the past several years, playing a starring role for both PSG and Juventus. He makes his living on the left side of the midfield, so he shouldn’t have too much trouble playing at left back, so long as the support from Adrien Rabiot in front of him is up to standard.
