Juventus will face Atalanta on Saturday and are interested in signing one of their best players.

After the collapse against Milan at the San Siro, Juventus will be looking to make a statement on Saturday when they face an even more formidable opponent in 2019-2020 Champions League side Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium.

But in addition to wanting to pick up three points to put them another step closer towards a Scudetto, Juve will have close eyes on one of Atlanta’s star players in Robin Gosens.

According to a report from Corriere Torino, via Juvefc.com, Juve have interest in Gosens. They will study him this weekend, and they are interested in seeing if he can be a starting-caliber fullback in Maurizio Sarri’s back four. Currently, Gosens plays as a wingback.

The Bianconeri aren’t the only team interested in Gosens, but they may be the biggest club eyeing the 26-year-old left wing back.

Currently, Juve are in need of an upgrade at the left back position. Juan Cuadrado is a fullback, wingback, and winger who is excelling on the right side of the back four on both ends of the pitch, but Alex Sandro needs a new partner at left back. Mattia De Sciglio should be on the way out, since he cannot contribute offensively on the left.

Gosens would be a huge upgrade and is enjoying a wonderful breakout season for one of Europe’s most exciting attacking sides. He has nine goals and six assists this season, with WhoScored.com crediting the left wing back with 1.5 tackles per game, 1.2 interceptions per game, and 1.1 key passes per game.

The German wide man has all the tools to be a star for Juve one day, so it is wise for Sarri and the Bianconeri’s technical staff to pay special attention to Gosens on Saturday at the Allianz Stadium. He could be a great player opposite of Cuadrado.
