CF Paulo Dybala

Paulo Dybala is always an important player to watch for the Old Lady, and he’s been on an absolute tear since Serie A’s return. He’s scoring a wonderful goal every week, as defenses cannot take the ball off him. Dybala is the kind of forward who can score from any position, capable of creating that sliver of space for himself to pop off a shot into the far corner.

Against Atalanta, Juve’s attack will be tasked with scoring goals. And loads of them. Atalanta fear nobody and will not stop attacking against the Bianconeri, but that also means there will be goals out there for Juve’s superstar forwards to grab. Dybala could have a brace when it’s all said and done on Saturday night.

CB Leonardo Bonucci

Likewise, Juventus must also defend relentlessly against Atalanta. They have three of the best attacking players in Europe in Duvan Zapata, Josip Ilicic, and Papu Gomez. Zapata has always been one of Serie A’s best strikers, while Ilicic would be a legitimate Ballon d’Or candidate if he played for a bigger club.

Leonardo Bonucci is one of Europe’s better center backs and gets plaudits, including from Pep Guardiola, for his work on the ball. But Bonucci was arguably the worst player on the pitch this past Tuesday in the 4-2 loss to Milan, meaning he has a point to prove against Serie A’s best attack this weekend. Let’s see if he’s up to the challenge.
