Juventus are willing to sell Douglas Costa for the right price this summer.

The entire squad is about to undergo a major makeover in Turin, as Juventus are willing to sell more experienced players in defense, midfield, and attack. Douglas Costa, despite his class and experience, is on the list of players who could be sold.

According to a report from Tuttosport’s Filippo Cornacchia, The Old Lady is willing to sell Costa this summer in order to generate more funds that can be used to sign players who can help the team more over the long-term. Juve still need to see if Maurizio Sarri is the best man to lead the team, and that involves supplying him with players who fit his vision.

Costa is still a good player who can score wonderful goals and create chances for others, but the winger’s injury risk doesn’t make him a regular player for Juventus. And since he’s approaching the age of 30, it’s time for the Bianconeri to move on.

Per Tuttosport, two huge clubs are interested in signing Costa despite his age and injury risk. Those clubs are PSG and Manchester City, who have deep enough pockets to afford transfers this summer. They may be the only two clubs who can sign players without having to worry about selling or making player swaps, with Juve exploring the latter.

Costa is an effective winger who can help both teams in a backup role, but it will be interesting to see how much money Juventus can generate from Costa’s sale. They should expect a modest fee, but even when factoring in variables like age, the Bianconeri should still get more from selling Costa than they would from selling Federico Bernardeschi.

Who would Juve sign after selling Costa? It appears they are indeed interested in Raul Jimenez, according to Tuttosport, as they do need a true No. 9. A frontline of Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala, and Jimenez would be world-class indeed.
