CM Adrien Rabiot

Adrien Rabiot has been Juve’s best attacking center midfielder over the last few weeks. He played well against Lazio and scored against Milan, and he was one of the only players who didn’t play poorly at Udinese. Rabiot had three key passes in the last game, per WhoScored.com, and he should have plenty of room to create more chances vs. Sampdoria.

CM Rodrigo Bentancur

The regista role doesn’t’ seem to suit Rodrigo Bentancur right now, but the young Uruguayan can always grow into the role. Bentancur has worked extremely hard since Serie A’s return, playing an important role in the side defensively. It will be interesting to see how his passing is against Sampdoria, because he’ll need to make passes from deep to break the lines.

CM Blaise Matuidi

Juventus aren’t sure who their third starting midfielder will be besides Bentancur and Rabiot whenever Miralem Pjanic cannot play, but it looks like Blaise Matuidi is the man for the job. There’s nothing particularly exciting about how he plays, but he’s a solid, smart player who doesn’t make bad mistakes. That’s the opposite of how Aaron Ramsey has been playing lately, so Maurizio Sarri should clearly prefer the more consistent and defensive Matuidi as cover for his back four.
