LB Alex Sandro

A much better performance from the experienced left back, who hadn’t inspired confidence coming into Sunday night’s game. But Alex Sandro defended well, showing off the technique that has made him a highly-regarded fullback in European football. Sandro even won a penalty by speeding past a Sampdoria defender. He finished the match with two key passes and a team-high three tackles, per WhoScored.com.

CB Leonardo Bonucci

A quiet game from Leonardo Bonucci, which is a very good thing. Bonucci didn’t play in the lost to Udinese due to a suspension after a poor mistake against Lazio last Monday, and he returned with his first truly composed display in weeks. The 33-year-old led the team with 88 passes, completing a little over 90 percent of them.

CB Matthijs de Ligt

Hopefully, Matthijs de Ligt hasn’t suffered an injury, as he needed to be subbed off late in the game for Daniele Rugani due to a possible cramp. De Ligt has worked incredibly hard for Juventus since Serie A’s return, and he’s regarded as one of Italy’s top defenders now. However, this was, in truth, not de Ligt’s best game, as he had some issues defending against Quagliarella.

RB Juan Cuadrado

Danilo had to leave the game early after a scary head-to-head collision, so Juan Cuadrado shifted back from right winger to right back. The Colombian had a few sloppy giveaways and was yellow-carded for a poor challenge late in the game. But he did complete nearly 91 percent of his 77 passes and constantly looked to put the ball into the box. Cuadrado is one of Serie A’s hardest-working players and means a lot to the Bianconeri on that right-hand side. It’s just that this wasn’t his most productive outing.
