Juventus will face Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday evening, and they will need these three players to be at their best.

The 2020-2021 Champions League campaign will begin for Juventus on Tuesday night at the NSC Olimpiyskiy in Kyiv. Juve will be heavy favorites despite not having Cristiano Ronaldo available, though their recent draw with Crotone suggests they cannot overlook their upcoming opponents.

Let’s take a look at three key players to watch on the Bianconeri.

Juventus ST Alvaro Morata

If it weren’t for an offsides call by VAR that had millimeters in it, Alvaro Morata would have been the hero for Juventus against Crotone on Matchday 4. As it stands, he still rescued a point with his goal and looked much, much better than he did a few weeks ago against Roma.

With Ronaldo and his goals out of the lineup, Morata will be counted on again this Tuesday. Another goal would do wonders for his stock in Turin. He’s going to be a key player for the Bianconeri this season.

Juventus FW Paulo Dybala

Paulo Dybala could make his return against Dynamo Kyiv off the bench, which would be a huge boost to the Black and White attack. The Argentine forward is one of Serie A’s best players, winning MVP honors last season, so it would be exciting to see him on the pitch in the Champions League opener.

There’s no guarantee Dybala will play, but he’s probably itching to get back into action. Depending on how the game goes, a 20-minute appearance from Dybala should be a nice tune-up before the next Serie A fixture for this new-look Juventus side.

Juventus CB Giorgio Chiellini

Giorgio Chiellini should be back in the lineup for the Bianconeri against Dynamo Kyiv, slotting in at the left center back position. Juve’s defense struggled without him against Crotone, as Leonardo Bonucci gave up yet another penalty.

Next. Juve's ideal front three without Ronaldo. dark

Merih Demiral should really be starting over Bonucci, but we all know the veteran center back isn’t getting benched. Therefore, Chiellini’s return as his partner covering for him becomes even more important, and Juve will need Chiellini to have a strong performance to avoid an upset. He’s still a key player in the XI whenever he’s healthy enough to start.
