Juventus had the win over Lazio sewn up until the 95th minute when they conceded an equalizer, and they also suffered two injuries in the match.

Although the Bianconeri are playing better football after Cristiano Ronaldo‘s return to the lineup, Juventus still have some consistency issues to work out in the early stages of Andrea Pirlo’s tenure as manager.

After defeating Spezia and Ferencvaros – two of the weakest sides in their respective competitions – 4-1, Juve could not close out a win against another top Serie A club in Lazio. They shared the spoils 1-1 at the Stadio Olimpico, wasting Ronaldo’s goal in the 15th minute.

According to a report from Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti, Cristiano Ronaldo is being evaluated after suffering a “slight ankle sprain”. He will be examined by the Portuguese national team, as the international break is forthcoming. Ronaldo was substituted late in the match at Lazio, and then, of course, the wheels fell off for Juventus.

He isn’t the only player injured, though. Left winger Federico Chiesa won’t travel with the Italian national team at all over the break after he suffered a slight right thigh injury shortly before the game. The usual starting left wing back in Pirlo’s system, Chiesa was benched for Gianluca Frabotta due to the injury.

Hopefully, Ronaldo and Chiesa will get a chance to rest up over the break and will be at 100 percent when club football resumes for the Old Lady.

Juve’s next game will be on Saturday, Nov. 21 against Cagliari, and then they will play against Ferencvaros on the following Tuesday. Juventini will also hope that star center back Matthijs de Ligt will return by then, as the Dutch star is a crucial part of the defense.

No player is more important to Juventus than Cristiano Ronaldo, though, so most people will watch out for his status. Again, it seems like a very minor injury, but any injury to Ronaldo is a cause for concern for Juventini.
