Juventus had their best performance of the 2020-2021 Serie A season, defeating Parma 4-0 on the road.

At mid-week, Juventus’ four-game winning streak was broken in an uneven performance against Atalanta, but the Bianconeri bounced back in a big way on the road at Parma, winning 4-0 behind goals from Alvaro Morata, Dejan Kulusevski, and Cristiano Ronaldo (he scored twice).

Here are the player ratings from Juve’s best all-around performance of the 2020-2021 Serie A season thus far.

GK Gianluigi Buffon

It’s been impressive watching how good Gianluigi Buffon still is. The Juventus legend made one scrambling save at the goal-line and a couple of good punches. Buffon’s leadership and calmness helped ensure Juve would close out the clean sheet.

CB Matthijs de Ligt

Always willing to put his body on the line, Matthijs de Ligt made some spectacular blocks for the Old Lady in this clean sheet. Per WhoScored.com, de Ligt led the team with an outstanding 126 passes, completing about 95 percent of them. He made zero mistakes defensively and somehow gets better and better each week. De Ligt is a center back of the highest class.

Rating: 8.0 out of 10

CB Leonardo Bonucci

Leonardo Bonucci was unlucky not to score in this match, as he would bomb forward to support the attack and showed his usual quality on the ball with a jaw-dropping 12 long balls completed and 16 attempted. He is rounding into form.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

CB Danilo

The surprise of the season for the Bianconeri, Danilo put in another strong shift on Saturday night with four interceptions and 97 percent of his passes completed. He worked hard at Parma, even drifting out wide behind Dejan Kulusevsi to put in three crosses.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

LM Alex Sandro

Alex Sandro worked hard in the match and had the assist for Dejan Kulusevski, though he was fortunate the low cross traveled through as many players as it did and into Kulusevski’s awaiting feet on the other side of the box. Although Alex Sandro is playing decently well, he doesn’t look convincing in the attack.

Rating: 6.5 out of 10

CM Aaron Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey was absolutely brilliant in this match, showing the same quality he displayed on Matchday 1 against Sampdoria. Andrea Pirlo can bring out the best of Ramsey this season, and we saw glimpses of the Wales international at his best on Saturday night. Ramsey had two key passes and two dribbles completed, including an assist. He was working hard in the attack, constantly looking to make things happen for the forwards.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

CM Rodrigo Bentancur

Rodrigo Bentancur came close to scoring from beyond the box and put in another excellent shift defensively. After a nondescript start to the Serie A season, Bentancur has picked up his performances, proving why he is valued so highly in Turin. Bentancur led Juve with six tackles and three key passes. He was second behind de Ligt with 88 passes attempted and completed nearly 98 percent of them.

Rating: 8.0 out of 10

CM Weston McKennie

Weston McKennie has been a wonderful addition to Juventus in 2020, offering a real additional weapon to Andrea Pirlo’s attack with his surging runs and smart passes. The American sensation delivered a couple of teasing passes into the box that were begging to be put into the back of the net, so he could have easily registered an assist. As it stood, McKennie had two key passes, but the stats don’t fully do justice to how well he’s playing. Juve are better when he starts.

Rating: 8.0 out of 10

RM Dejan Kulusevski

Like Aaron Ramsey, this is the best Dejan Kulusevski has looked for the Bianconeri since Matchday 1 against Sampdoria. The Sweden international scored the opener with a good finish, as he was never going to miss with his left foot from that position. Hard, low, and clinical; Kulusevski is an efficient scorer.

Rating: 7.0 out of 10

FW Cristiano Ronaldo

The likes of Weston McKennie, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Matthijs de Ligt were excellent, but the real stars of the show were the forwards. Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata have been world-class all season long, but you just knew Ronaldo would put a couple of goals past Luigi Sepe on Saturday to make up for his poor evening against Atalanta. Ronaldo’s first goal was a trademark, hovering header, and his second was a brilliant finish with his left foot in a tight space.

FW Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata honestly could have scored more than once, but he should be praised for getting into those positions in the first place. The Atletico Madrid loanee has been a game-changer in his second stint in Turin, working perfectly with Ronaldo and the rest of his teammates. Morata’s cross for Ronaldo’s header was absolutely delicious, and his own headed goal was well-taken. The man has become a tremendous chance-creator in the final third and a dream secondary scoring option to Ronaldo. In total, he had two assists in this match. That more than makes up for his embarrassing backheel miss in the draw to Atalanta.
