Juventus are staying patient on the transfer market for one big reason

Juventus were linked to both strikers and midfielders in the January transfer market, but they decided not to make any signings up top after Sassuolo drove too hard of a bargain for Gianluca Scamacca.

But the reason why they did not sign a top midfielder is a little bit different. Yet it is also a wise decision in its own right. They made a swap deal for Genoa’s young star Nicolo Rovella, which should prove to be a great sporting acquisition and a financial masterstroke, but they did not pursue any expensive options.

That’s because they are waiting to make a splash in the summer 2021 transfer market.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Juventus has always prioritized making their big midfield move in the summer, and they are still dreaming of a reunion with Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

Paul Pogba still looks like a fantastic addition to Juventus

The French midfielder’s days in the Premier League appear to be ticking. In the past, Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane were seen as the favorites, but they no longer seem to be an option due to a tenuous financial situation and Zizou’s own uncertain future.

Meanwhile, Juventus make a ton of sense. They could use a midfielder with Pogba’s creative qualities, as they are severely lacking in that department, though they have finally found two young pieces in Weston McKennie and Arthur Melo who can help the side.

Pogba knows Juve and Juve knows Pogba. It is a sensible match, and if United finally drive down their asking price, the Bianconeri could swoop.

If Juve cannot sign the world-class midfielder, then they have two more excellent young options and future world-class starters on their radar in Houssem Aouar and Manuel Locatelli.

The summer 2021 transfer market seems to be rich with star talent in the middle of the park, and Juve are wise for staying patient. There is no need to make any unnecessary signings now, as saving money and keeping the Pogba dream alive is the right answer.
