Juventus could be active players in the summer 2021 transfer market, even though they already made a few notable signings in 2020. The project is very much under way in Turin, as the Bianconeri aim to win a Champions League trophy with Cristiano Ronaldo in the squad, giving legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon the one major accolade that has eluded him.

But although Juve will be out for some current superstars in Paul Pogba or Manuel Locatelli, the Bianconeri are always keeping one eye glued on the future.

According to a report from Il Bianconero, Juventus are showing interest in another young Sassuolo player besides Locatelli and their loaned forward Gianluca Scamacca. They are currently monitoring Hamed Junior Traore – a 20-year-old attacking midfielder and winger who has contributed three goals to Sassuolo in Serie A this season.

The Ivorian is currently in his second season on loan at Sassuolo from Empoli, and Sassuolo also have the option to buy the player permanently.

Hamed Junior Traore is an intriguing option for Juventus

But Juventus appear to be ready to make a swoop if they like the trajectory of Traore’s development. He is a player who can benefit Juve on the wings or in an attacking midfield role, so his versatility and upside make him an intriguing option for the Black and Whites.

According to WhoScored.com, the 20-year-old is averaging 1.7 dribbles per game despite being a substitute in 7 of his 19 appearances. He’s also averaging more than one key pass per game. Traore’s dribbling ability and chance creation would make him an asset to the Old Lady, and he would not be an expensive signing.

Traore would have to start out as a depth player, but he could grow into a bigger role. The issue is that Juve already have young talents they recently acquired who need minutes in Dejan Kulusevski and Federico Chiesa. Weston McKennie, a possible attacking midfielder, should also be bought permanently from struggling Schalke.

Nevertheless, Hamed Junior Traore is a talented young Serie A attacker who should be kept in mind as a possible option for Juventus.
