When a football-inflicted casual discussion somehow finds a way to include Juventus in it, the most talked-about players remain the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala, Giorgio Chiellini, “Gigi” Buffon, and so on.

The youngsters of the team seem to be the ones getting left behind those colossal pedigrees. But those, who follow Juventus regularly, know the value of the youngsters the reigning Serie A champions currently have under their ranks.

Since Pirlo got the promotion to the senior-team managerial role, there has been a massive uphill in terms of players, in their tender ages, cutting into the senior sides.

The likes of Federico Chiesa (23), Merih Demiral (22), Matthijs de Ligt (21) and Dejan Kulusevski (20) are the sheer manifestation of a manager showing an immense amount of trust in young shoulders.

Then, there are homegrown talents such as Radu Drăgușin, Nicolò Fagioli, and Gianluca Frabotta who have had enjoyed a fair portion of the spotlight this season so far.

Atalanta is also interested in the Juventus center back

And along the way, they have enticed interests from several clubs across Europe.

According to a report from Calciomercato.it’s Alessio Lento, Newcastle United, RB Leipzig and Atalanta B.C. have expressed their affection for Radu Drăgușin.

The 19-year-old centre-back has been a focal talking-point in the Italian media over the last few months.

His current contract with the Old Lady is set to expire in June 2021. And once, it was likely that Juventus would let that spell run out without offering an extension.

But as the fresh reports believe, there has been some acceleration in negotiations between the club and the entourage of the player in the last few weeks. And now, it is understood that Juventus will offer a new deal to the defender sooner rather than later.

The Romanian has made four senior team appearances for Juventus—all under the guidance of Andrea Pirlo.

It has been suggested in the aforementioned story that Leipzig see Drăgușin as a potential replacement for Dayot Upamecano, who is likely to leave the German Bundesliga side in the upcoming summer transfer window.

On the other hand, Newscalse United manager Steve Bruce, who himself was a rigid centre-half during his playing days, is a huge admirer of the aspiring star and wants to secure his services to further strengthen the Newcastle backline.

Despite these reports, what Juventus fans would be hoping for is a long-term future of Drăgușin on the green turf of Turin.
