Juventus are always interesting in the best players in Serie A, and that includes those who are standing out for a rival club. We have already heard much – ado about nothing, to be honest – about the potential intrigue on Inter Milan’s promising Nicolo Barella, but there are two rival stars within the city of Turin who have reportedly piqued the Bianconeri’s interest.

According to a report from TorinoGranata.it’s Marina Beccuti (article in Italian), Juventus are interested in striker Andrea Belotti, who is undoubtedly Torino’s crown jewel. The 27-year-old has 16 goal contributions already in the 2020-2021 Serie A campaign, and Juve would be joining their other rivals AC Milan with interest in the Italian forward.

But we have heard of Juve potentially being interested in Belotti before. What’s even more interesting is the other player linked to the Old Lady in this report, Wilfried Stephane Singo.

The Ivorian right back/midfielder is a promising, right-sided player amidst a serious breakout campaign in his first season as a starter for Torino. At 20, Singo has three goal contributions and over one tackle and one interception per game, per WhoScored.com, to go with 2.2 dribbles completed per game and 1.9 fouls drawn per game.

Juventus most likely won’t sign Andrea Belotti

Singo is definitely a talented player who can become a star in Serie A, considering his age and current production as a first-year starter. But since he is either a right-sided midfielder, right back, or a defensive midfielder, the Bianconeri don’t have space for him. Federico Chiesa, Weston McKennie, Juan Cuadrado, and Danilo can all play these various roles at a high level.

Belotti is the bigger catch and higher on Juve’s watchlist, based on the wording in TorinoGranata.it’s report. But it’s not a bad idea for Juventus to keep an eye on Singo, considering his affordability and potential.

Still, don’t count on Juventus signing either player, especially not Belotti. The striker is too important to Torino, and it would be madness to see such a standout join the Derby Della Mole rivals this summer or any summer. Plus, Juve seem to be happy with Alvaro Morata, whom they could negotiate a favorable deal on a permanent transfer from Atletico Madrid that is lower than the buy-out of 45 million euros.

Juventini will continue to keep an eye on news regarding Belotti, but with limited funds and the natural animosity that comes with a derby rival, other forward options are far more likely. Deals have been done within the city of Turin, but this one with Belotti may be a step too far.
