Paulo Dybala has not played a match for Juventus since Jan. 10 against Sassuolo. In total, the Argentine forward has only featured in 16 matches with 10 starts in the 2020-2021 season due to recurring injuries. And it has been difficult for Juventini to get a read on when one of their two biggest stars will be back in the lineup.

There may be a return coming next month, just in time for a heated matchup.

According to a report from Sky Sport Italia, via Football-Italia.net, Paulo Dybala could make his return to the Bianconeri around Easter on Apr. 4. The club is hoping to have the attacker back after the upcoming international break.

Juve will face Benevento in Serie A next this coming Sunday. Then, they will have the international break. On Apr. 3, Juve will return to face Torino in the Derby Della Mole, having barely survived their struggling crosstown rivals earlier this season.

Paulo Dybala could be ready for Juventus’ big match against Napoli

It may be too tight for Dybala to return by that weekend, but we will see. And if he cannot, Juve have another big match immediately after the Torino fixture against Napoli. This is the fixture that was moved from earlier in the season and led to spats between both clubs. And considering Juve defeated Napoli in the Supercoppa Italiana but then struggled against them in Serie A, there will be plenty on the line in the title race and in terms of pride on Apr. 7.

Hopefully, Juventus will have a healthy Dybala by then. Juve have lost just one game all season in all competitions with Dybala in the lineup, and that was a 2-0 loss to FC Barcelona without Cristiano Ronaldo available due to COVID-19. When Ronaldo returned and he and Dybala both played, the Bianconeri blew out the Blaugrana 3-0.

So you can see just how important Dybala is to this team functioning at the highest level. Every match counts in this heated title race, but, in April, there are some fixtures that stand out more than others. After the Napoli match, Juve will face future Coppa Italia Final opponents Atalanta on Apr. 18 in Serie A. And in May, the Bianconeri still have two big fixtures against the Milan clubs.

It’s all coming down to the wire, and Juventini will thus keep especially close eyes on Dybala’s status through the international break, as we head into April in a Serie A title race that is still there to be won.
