FW Paulo Dybala

I know Paulo Dybala is on an expiring contract after the 2020-2021 season, and there’s a chance Juventus do not bring him back. But I feel that would be a mistake. Firstly, who is going to give Dybala fair value on the transfer market after an injury-plagued season? And secondly, have people really forgotten what Dybala has done for the club that quickly?

Dybala breaking COVID-19 rules was definitely disappointing, but he is being punished for his actions and will, hopefully, learn from them. We do not need to overreact and make judgments about Dybala’s future with the club due to one mistake.

What we need to do, though, is acknowledge how much Dybala helps this team. There is not a player on Juve with Dybala’s skill and ability to create from nothing. Juventus have suffered greatly without La Joya’s magic. His curling shots, his mazy dribbles, his slipped passes into the penalty box…they have all been missing from Juve’s game and it shows.

We should still consider Dybala to be a vital player for Juventus’ future. The Bianconeri cannot lose one of their two superstars in attack, especially with no logical replacements in the summer market. Dybala is one of the best players in Serie A and has set that standard for years, dating back to Palermo.
