Paulo Dybala is one of Juventus‘ most talented players. Along with Federico Chiesa, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Matthijs de Ligt, he is one of a quartet of players who can be considered near the world-class bracket. In the cases of Ronaldo and the reigning Serie A MVP Dybala, these two are very much world-class.

But Dybala has not shown these qualities in the 2020-2021 season. First, COVID-19 slowed his fitness levels. Then, the injuries would not go away. Dybala recently had a dream-like return off the bench, scoring the eventual winner in an important victory over Napoli. Unfortunately, since then, he has failed to maintain that level of play. He did not even start in the 3-0 loss to Milan, which shows that Andrea Pirlo has questioned him.

The Argentine forward’s future at Juve has always been in doubt, as he has not renewed yet and has just one year left on his deal.

According to a report from Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo, both Juventus president Andrea Agnelli and Chief Football Officer Fabio Paratici have set a date for when they would like to sell Paulo Dybala. And that date is fast approaching. They want to identify a “serious buyer” for La Joya by June 30 so that they can ease the burden on their budget.

Can Juventus find a transfer partner for Paulo Dybala?

Some Juventini have soured on Dybala this season, but most fans would not be happy to see their “jewel” leave Turin. The 2020-2021 season has been disastrous for both Juve and Dybala to this point, but his quality is excellent and surely he’d be better next season with good health.

It won’t be easy for Juventus to sell Dybala, considering his wages and the asking price they should want for a player with his talent. But Juve are in a tough spot. They would need to either give in to Dybala’s demands with a new deal or transfer him, because losing an asset like Dybala for free is simply not an option, especially if Juve’s economic situation becomes more constrained by failing to make the Champions League.

As frustrating as it may be to not know and to deal with these rumors, the Dybala transfer rumblings won’t go away any time soon.
