Another player that will obviously be in connection to leave Turin this summer is Aaron Ramsey. The former Arsenal player moved to Italy in 2019, signing for Juventus on a free transfer. Since joining the Serie A side, the Welshman’s fitness has been an unsolvable dilemma.

During his time in Italy, he has undergone 10 different injuries, per Transfermarkt. While age is the main factor behind creating inconsistency in Chiellini’s game, it is a tough run of injuries that have restrained Ramsey from getting game time more regularly.

Playing 2,927 minutes of football across all competitions, the midfielder has scored six goals and logged six assists over the two-and-a-half seasons. His output has not been appalling. But it is not good enough for a Juventus player.

As reported recently by Fabrizio Romano (via TalkSport), Ramsey is “unhappy” at Juventus and could seek to move on to pastures new this summer. The central midfielder has his contract secured at Juve until June 2023. Should he leave, the buying party will have to pay a reasonable transfer fee.

Amid the financial crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, selling Ramsey could help Juventus restore some economic peace within the club. Juventus have notable targets in the summer transfer window. And it doesn’t look like Ramsey could be an integral part of Juve’s future plannings either. Therefore, the club should consider letting him go and purchase someone more reliable from the acquired transfer fee.
