Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo isn’t the only one under fire in Turin. Both Pavel Nedved and Fabio Paratici could find themselves on the way out the door, too. There have been a lot of mistakes made over the years that extend beyond Pirlo’s inexperience, and the Bianconeri could decide to make a full shake-up ahead of what should be another eventful summer transfer window.

If Juve can find an upgrade on Paratici, we very well could see a new sporting direction, regardless of what happens to Pirlo, who seems to have Andrea Agnelli’s tentative backing.

According to a report from Sky Sports News, Juventus are among the teams showing interest in former Lille sporting director Luis Campos, who is available for any team to hire. Arsenal and Manchester United are also said to be looking in his direction, though the North Londoners are apparently not serious suitors at this point in time.

Earlier this year, Campos was loosely linked to Real Madrid, but it seems like nothing has come of the move. And Real’s structure appears to be settled.

Luis Campos could help Juventus finally invest in the right players

Juventus, meanwhile, are not even close to settled. A lot remains in a state of flux right now, and if they can manage to hire someone of Campos’ caliber, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Agnelli and the club’s ownership jumped at the opportunity to replace Paratici with him.

For those unfamiliar with Ligue 1, Campos has earned his high reputation around Europe for his work at Monaco and Lille. As Sky Sports notes, he is dubbed the “Wizard of Capital Gains”. Now that phrase is sure to cause Juventini to roll their eyes. Do not worry, though. Campos makes money not by signing old free agents on bloated contracts in the hopes of a re-sale, but by making smart signings. He has a very keen eye for talent, and that’s how he profits. Campos makes the right signings and sales at the right time, and he mostly invests in affordable young players.

Look at what he recently did at Lille, who are on the cusp of dethroning PSG as the champions of France. He sold Nicolas Pepe for a huge profit to Arsenal, sold Victor Osimhen for big money to Napoli this past summer, and is now getting the most out of veteran Burak Yilmaz, the arguable Ligue 1 Player of the Year!

And at Monaco, we all saw the amazing team he assembled that won Ligue 1 with Kylian Mbappe as its centerpiece superstar. He sold Mbappe to PSG, and now the No. 7 is one of the top five players in the world despite not yet being 23 years of age.

Campos worked wonders for Monaco and Lille, and he should absolutely be of interest to Juventus. Whether or not they actually hire him, is a mystery to all of us. But it is now a development to monitor as we head into June.
