Juventus defeated Inter 3-2 over the weekend in a must-win Derby d’Italia, and they have another game this Wednesday night at the Mapei Stadium against Atalanta. They have not beaten this Nerazzurri in three fixtures, so there is added motivation for the Bianconeri to hoist that Coppa Italia and give Andrea Pirlo his second trophy of this difficult season.

Let’s take a look at three things Juventini can look forward to.

Winning the Coppa Italia amidst uncertainty

There are a lot of questions surrounding Juventus right now. The biggest questions are being asked of the manager himself, Andrea Pirlo. He could be gone next season, replaced by someone like Zinedine Zidane, Max Allegri, or even Napoli’s Gennaro Gattuso. Members of the front office, such as Fabio Paratici and Pavel Nedved, are also in question.

Juventus were dreadful in the Champions League knockout stages and have struggled in Serie A, as they are still in the thick of the top-four race heading into the final Matchday of the season.

But they did win the Supercoppa Italiana and could now secure the Coppa Italia, having eliminated new Serie A champions Inter in the competition to get to the point where they’d face the second-place team in the league, Atalanta.

It would mean a lot for Juve to win this title after losing on penalties to Napoli last year and with all the uncertainty of the current campaign.
