Juventus showing the same fight

Juventini were enraged, embarrassed, or some combination of both after a 3-0 loss to Milan at the Juventus Stadium. The Bianconeri didn’t even look like a team capable of competing for a top-four place, and Andrea Pirlo’s future seemed to be at a crisis point.

But things have calmed down since then. Juve were efficient in front of goal in a 3-1 win over Sassuolo – at the Mapei Stadium, too – that was tougher than the scoreline suggests.

Then, they picked up an even tougher three points, defeating Inter Milan once more this season by a score of 3-2 at the Allianz Stadium. It was a wild match featuring multiple red cards and penalties, but Juve got the job done in a controversial match that affected both rivals equally.

What impressed Juventini the most about the derby win was the heart and passion shown by the players. Matthijs de Ligt put everything on the line in defense, Adrien Rabiot brought the intensity to the midfield, and Juan Cuadrado scored two decisive goals.

Andrea Pirlo will see the positives from that match and look to instill that same fighting spirit in the club for the Coppa Italia Final. A lot rides on them winning this game in terms of how they view their season, as a cup win can help them take solace and take more stock of the positives.
