#1 Aaron Ramsey

There is no way Aaron Ramsey should continue his professional career in Turin on the back of what was a real disjointed 2020-21 season for the Welshman. Signing for Juventus on a free transfer in February 2019, Ramsey has played only 2,927 minutes of football, per Transfermarkt, over the course of his time at Juve, winning one Scudetto, one Supercoppa Italiana, and one Coppa Italia. For the Italian club, he has scored six goals and racked up six assists to date.

Last season, he made 22 Serie A appearances, scoring two goals and providing five assists. When fit, he was watchful and assertive on the ball. But again, we would like to put emphasis on “when fit”. And an ever-fit Aaron Ramsey is good enough to be a squad player at Juventus. The data collected from Transfermarkt shows that Aaron Ramsey received four different muscular injuries, making him a fragile component in the team and a headache for his manager.

He should leave Juventus this summer. With Juve preparing to sign new midfielders, Ramsey, with the sickening injury record he has, should not expect to get enough game time under Allegri. On the other hand, Ramsey is bound to Juve’s contract until June 2023, meaning a potential sale this summer could see Juventus pocketing some much-needed cash. Talking about his possible destinations, perhaps a return to the Premier League would be more beneficial for the 30-year-old midfielder.
