If my colleague Jyotirmoy Halder is right and Dejan Kulusevski shines at the Euros, then Allegri won’t have a choice but to trust the young and distinctly dynamic Swede. His 2020/21 was littered with sequences of magic but entrenched in inconsistency. Nevertheless, a breakout campaign is imminent and hopefully, Allegri grants him plenty of freedom to roam from an inverted winger function.

AM – Paulo Dybala

Although a new deal is yet to be penned, Allegri’s return will surely hasten the previously ambiguous contract situation and keep Paulo Dybala on Juventus’ books for the long haul. La Joya is set to emerge as the protagonist in the Allegri project, with his dazzling influence set to arrive from a trequartista function.

LM – Federico Chiesa

Federico Chiesa was the first name on the team sheet throughout much of the second half of 2020/21. His form was utterly imperious. I don’t expect the Italian’s status to change despite a familiar face returning to the dugout. Allegri will absolutely adore Chiesa’s freakish energy, willingness in the defensive phase and capacity to attack space with dogged persistence.

In short, Chiesa’s rise to Calcio supremacy isn’t expected to falter in 2021/22.

ST – Alvaro Morata

I’m sure Cristiano Ronaldo’s future will be resolved soon after the conclusion to the Euros, but I don’t see how Juve can afford to retain Ronaldo while extending Dybala. Something has to give and with Allegri bullish on Dybala, the Portuguese great could be forced to seek a new challenge this summer.

Thus, with Ronaldo out the door, Juve could look to bring in an alternative number nine or retain Alvaro Morata for another year. Hey, they could do both with Gabriel Jesus and Dusan Vlahovic supposed targets.

Nevertheless, Allegri is an admirer of Morata, who endured a fine season on loan last term. Various reports suggest the returning manager is keen to extend the Spaniard’s loan and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Morata emerge as Allegri’s primary striker option, perhaps to the dismay of some Juventista.
