4. Roberto Bettega

While Filippo Inzaghi was more inclined to changing teams during his professional career, Roberto Bettega, on the other hand, was an embodiment of absolute dedication and the submission of one’s breath to the club’s aid. Born and bred in Turin, the youth product of the Juventus academy was initially sent out on loan by the Bianconeri to Varese F.C. in Serie B. It was Juve’s turn to gauge the traits of the forward and elevate his personal abilities by offering him more games in the senior circuit.

He returned to Juventus having completed one season in the second tier of the Italian football pyramid. He went on to rack up 13 goals in 33 games (per Transfermarkt) and also influenced Juve hierarchy massively with his overall performances. At Juve, he got his senior debut in an away game to Catania, scoring the decisive goal of the match and igniting more interest of his peers and the manager in him. He ended the campaign, amassing 10 goals from only 14 matches.

From that season forward, Juventus never felt the need for sending Roberto Bettega out on loan, let alone selling him to another club. The journey stopped as he garnered 482 apps under his name for the Bianconeri. A sumptuous number of 179 goals could now be seen as a bonus. Bettega won seven Serie A titles with Juve and engraved his name inside the history book of the prestigious club forever.
