We, the devotees of this immortal game, always talk about the significance of signing players and often overlook the importance of selling the ones that are surplus to the manager’s demands. Legends have said that buying players is as crucial as selling. But how is that true? Well, via the sale of players, one club acquires a transfer fee and end up easing their wage structure.

Juventus need to sell some unwanted players this summer. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, clubs, including the mighty Old Lady, have suffered huge financial losses. The results of such losses would understandably be reflected in the transfer dealings. Consequently, one could expect to see Juventus letting some players go for a reasonable fee.

With Gianluigi Buffon already leaving Juventus on a free transfer and Gianluca Frabotta closing on a loan move with an obligation to Atalanta, Juventus have found some respite.

That said, the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Federico Bernardeschi, and Mattia De Sciglio are still there. For some, they might be the chosen cult heroes of Juventus. But there should be no hesitation when it is worth bidding farewell to those lacking the requisite consistency.

We won’t go deep into the roots as there will be another piece mentioning the ones that are needed to be sold before the summer transfer period ends. Watch out for that!
