The 23-year-old Nahuel Molina, despite playing as the right wing-back for I Friulani, is considered one of the most crucial players for the team, if not the most crucial. Signed from Argentine premier division club Rosario Central in the last summer transfer window, Molina experienced his first top-tier campaign in Italy, scoring two goals and assisting five from 1,828 minutes of football (as per FBref.com) in Serie A last campaign.

When Juventus met Udinese in the latter stage of the Serie A 2020/21, Molina scored a goal for the home side. Nonetheless, Juventus brought home a narrow 2-1 victory thanks to a late Cristiano Ronaldo brace. In the latest Coppa Italia victory against Ascoli, Molina provided an update on his actual improvement over the summer, scoring a magnificent goal with a thumping right-footed strike.

If anything, Molina has developed an ability to perform better in significant matches. Allegri is likely to field a back four (two of which will, of course, be the full-backs) on Sunday. The Argentine wing-back, hence, could create problems for the Juve backline occasionally, if not constantly.

The numbers from FBref.com show that Molina has all the ingredients needed to be a superstar wing-back. His attacking output is better than most of the full-backs or wing-backs from Europe’s top five leagues. Plus, he is only 23, meaning he has enough time in his hand to further improve his abilities.

If everything goals as anticipated, Molina is likely to be up against Alex Sandro this weekend. Unless the Brazilian track the juvenile full-back’s every move, Molina, a handy customer, will not hesitate to disrupt the flow and change the course of the game — if needed.
