Juventus spent much of Deadline Day finalising the loan departures of many of their talented academy graduates. Nicolo Fagioli (Cremonese) and Filippo Ranocchia (Vicenza) earned moves to Serie B, while Radu Dragusin (Sampdoria) and Filippo Delli Carri (Salernitana) will remain in the top flight for the 2021/22 season.

These talents will hopefully gain invaluable experience at a senior level before returning to Juventus next summer. Crucially, these moves are ‘dry loans’ meaning there’s no option for the host club to buy the player permanently at the end of their spell. Felix Correia’s another potential star who earned a temporary move away. He’s currently at Parma.

Gianluca Frabotta, meanwhile, departed for Hellas Verona on loan in a move that will likely become permanent.

Overall, it’s refreshing to see such proactivity with their academy starlets. They’ll all get the chance to impress over a consistent period for the first time at a senior level, rather than seeing their careers stagnate on the Juventus bench or fail to see themselves develop in the Under-23’s. Once again, the Bianconeri are looking towards the future.
