While speculating about Ronaldo, we sometimes overlook how effective he was in front of the goal for Bianconeri over these three seasons. In what was a 3-1 away victory against Sassuolo last May, Ronaldo bagged his 100th goal for Juventus.

On the stroke of half-time, it was Gianmarco Ferrari who mistakenly headed the ball towards Adrien Rabiot. Rabiot threaded a pass to find Cristiano Ronaldo, who confidently used his left-footed to put the ball past Andrea Consigli, the Sassuolo goalkeeper.

The goal marked the landmark of Ronaldo reaching the fastest 100 goals for Juventus. Having done so in three seasons, he transcended the likes of Omar Sivori and Roberto Baggio, who had reached the tally of 100 goals for Juventus in less than five seasons.

5. First Capocannoniere

Born to break records, Ronaldo bagged his first Capocannoniere last season, scoring 29 goals (as per FBref.com) from 33 matches in Serie A. Sacking Maurizio Sarri and then promoting Andrea Pirlo to the managerial role of the club, Juventus were entering a mess created by themselves.

It wouldn’t be exaggerating to say that Juventus will be playing Champions League football only for Ronaldo as he emerged as the saviour for Juventus so many times last season, scoring so many crucial goals in the time of need.

In the department of the highest goalscorer in the top-tier of Italian football, Ronaldo had been beaten by Fabio Quagliarella and Ciro Immobile in the two previous seasons. But this time, Ronaldo almost single-handedly carried Juventus’ enormous expectations and his desire to keep hold of his first and the last Capocannoniere accolade before parting ways with the Italian club.
