The winning formula of a successful two-man attack lies in its astute application. Last year and the year before that, we witnessed how the tandem of Romerlu Lukaku, one of the bulkiest strikers in the modern era, and Lautaro Martinez, an eager runner with or without the ball, ran riot while playing under a certain project orchestrated by Antonio Conte.

If we try to determine similarities between the two-man forward-line of Inter and that of Malmo, we have to acknowledge that Veljko Birmančević is the Lautaro Martinez, if you will, and that Antonio Colak, for his robust physical presence, is akin to Romelu Lakuku.

Spending around a decade in the academies of Belgrade with the famous Partizan, Birmančević was touted to be one of their most inspiring youngsters. However, the demand for playing regular football didn’t come to fruition as he eventually decided to part ways with the Serbian club.

Since joining Malmo earlier this year, the 23-year-old Serbian has logged seven goals and one assist from 909 minutes of football (per FBref.com) in the Allsvenskan.

A distinctive customer, who likes dealing with sheer pace, would surely love the prospect of testing the big names of the European footballing landscape with his teasing runs and captivating trickeries. Should he find the rhythm to dance to his tune on Tuesday evening, the Juventus defence could then discover themselves in deep trouble.
