Phew. Good news has emerged after Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata both underwent tests at J|Medical on Monday morning.

The pair were forced off with injuries in the 3-2 victory over Sampdoria, with Dybala reduced to tears as he trudged off the Allianz Stadium turf after giving Juventus the lead. However, despite initial concerns, both players have avoided major injuries and are hopeful of returning after the October international break.

According to Romeo Agresti, Dybala has suffered an elongation of the semitendinosus muscle in the left thigh, while Morata picked up a low-grade muscle injury in the right hamstring.

There are supposedly more concerns over Morata’s issue and there’s a chance the Spaniard could also miss Juve’s trip to Zenit on Matchday 3 of the Champions League, three days after they host Jose Mourinho’s Roma in Serie A. The target for the Spaniard is to return by the end of October.

The duo, however, will miss the upcoming clashes with Chelsea and Torino, where the Bianconeri will be looking to secure three domestic wins on the bounce following their torrid start to the campaign.

Moise Kean and Dejan Kulusevski are poised to step up in the absence of two key men, with speculation suggesting the former could line up as a lone forward for the clash against the European champions on Wednesday with Massimiliano Allegri switching to a 4-3-3. It’ll be interesting to see how Juve fare from a creative perspective without La Joya pulling the strings.

It was an issue Andrea Pirlo failed to solve during his sole season at the helm as the Argentine persistently battled with injuries.

Nevertheless, while the absence of the injured tandem is a big blow in the short term, their respective diagnoses could have been much worse.

With such a tough fixture list in store for the Old Lady after the next international break, the news that’s surfaced on Monday morning is a huge relief, especially regarding Dybala.
