It had been a relatively slow start to life in Turin for Chiesa. Heading into the Matchday 16 encounter with AC Milan last season, the Italian had notched a mere five goal contributions for the Bianconeri.

But, the trip to a table-topping Rossoneri would prove season-altering. This was the start of Chiesa’s majestic 2021.

The signs were ominous for the home side as the Italian crashed an instinctive effort off the post early on. That strike would prove an effective sighter after he opened the scoring following a wonderful combination with Paulo Dybala. Chiesa had beaten Theo Hernandez in the build-up, with his finish beyond Gianluigi Donnarumma pinpoint.

His second goal, after Davide Calabria had equalised for Milan, boasted similar precision. Once again, a simple shift inside was enough to beat Hernandez, who gave him too much room. Then, on his weaker left foot, Chiesa wrapped his effort past an outstretched Donnarumma to give Juve a 2-1 lead.
