Paulo Dybala (CF) – 10/10 – Dybala emulated the celebration of the great Michel Platini after his well-taken opener and the Argentine’s exhibition on Tuesday night was straight out of the Platini handbook of football mastery. Zenit couldn’t contain the free-spirited creator who drifted across the Allianz Stadium in a bid to affect proceedings, which he so often did. While Chiesa was great, Dybala was the protagonist. A masterclass.

Alvaro Morata (ST) – 7/10 – Yes, there was a disallowed goal. Yes, it wasn’t the cleanest of displays. But he scored, finally. His first since the AC Milan draw in September. The Spaniard was relentless without the ball and fully deserved to get on the scoresheet, which he did with a left-footed effort. Hopefully, that ignites a productive run of form.
