Paulo Dybala (RW) – 5.5/10 – Dybala was lost playing off the right in the first half, and the freedom with which he played proved detrimental when assessing the collective. After the break, he got closer to Morata as Allegri switched to a 4-4-2, then 4-2-4, but La Joya’s influence was fleeting.

Alvaro Morata (ST) – 5/10 – It was Morata’s errant lay-off that kick-started the transition for Atalanta’s opener. He duelled with Juventus loanee Merih Demiral throughout and although there were spritely moments from the Spaniard, Demiral undoubtedly won the battle despite getting booked. Not the striker’s night (again).

Federico Chiesa (LW) – 6/10 – A superb recovery challenge from Rafael Toloi denied Chiesa from opening the scoring after the Italian sneaked in behind the Atalanta defence. Chiesa was bright and Juve’s primary threat in transition before a knock forced him out of the contest at half-time.
