The Champions League group stages conclude this week with Juventus’ fate all but sealed heading into Matchday 6.

The Bianconeri had boasted a 100% record in Group H before they fell to a 4-0 defeat to Chelsea on Matchday 5. The manner of that defeat means Zenit will have to do them a favour on Wednesday evening in order for Massimiliano Allegri’s side to progress into the round of 16 as group winners.

Juventus had already secured their place in the knockout stages after their 4-2 win over Zenit on Matchday 4 and they’re expected to take care of business at home in this one.

Malmo have picked up a meagre point in Group H thus far and in the reverse fixture on Matchday 1, they were beaten 3-0 by the visiting Italians. Allegri is poised to rotate for Wednesday night’s clash with Juventus showing signs of life in their last two domestic outings.

Here’s our preview of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash.

Weston McKennie and Aaron Ramsey remain out for Juventus, with Danilo and Federico Chiesa both long-term absentees. The club also revealed on Tuesday morning that Dejan Kulusevski will miss the next week after undergoing surgery for sinusitis.

Fringe players such as Daniele Rugani and Arthur Melo are in contention for rare starts, while youngster Koni De Winter has been tipped to make his first senior start on Wednesday night. Matias Soule is ineligible,

Jonas Knudsen and Ola Toivonen are both out with knee injuries, while Oscar Lewicki and Felix Beijmo are both doubtful and are game-time decisions.

On the positive side, industrious skipper Anders Christiansen and Erdal Rakip should both be fit to start after the pair recovered from their respective hamstring and knee injuries.

Malmo’s top scorer, Antonio Colak, will lead the line against an altered Juventus defence.

Juventus have feasted on lowly opponents in their last two Serie A outings and I’m expecting similar domination to ensue on Wednesday night.

Despite the potential rotation, Max Allegri seems to have stumbled upon his magic formula since switching to the 4-2-3-1. Some starters will have plenty to prove against a Malmo side playing for very little.

Juventus won comfortably in Sweden on Matchday 1 and I expect the Bianconeri to ease to victory on Wednesday night.

Prediction: Juventus 3-0 Malmo
