Paris Saint-Germain are willing to let midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum leave the club on loan in January and Juventus have been linked with a move.

The Dutchman joined PSG from Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer but has struggled to settle in the French capital. Wijnaldum’s yet to establish himself in Mauricio Pochettino’s star-studded XI; making just three Ligue 1 starts since the start of September.

There’s plenty of competition for places in PSG’s midfield, despite the absence of bonafide superstars in this area of the pitch, with Pochettino yet to find Wijnaldum’s optimal role in his set-up.

Premier League clubs interested in Wijnaldum loan

The abundance of options in midfield means PSG could let the Dutchman leave on loan this winter. According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Les Parisiens are “willing to listen to offers” for the player in January. Although, they will only entertain a potential loan move.

Arsenal have been linked with the player, as have Newcastle United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United. Wijnaldum spent six seasons in the Premier League, one with Newcastle and five with Liverpool; winning the Champions League and Premier League title on Merseyside.

The Dutchman was an integral part of the Reds’ rise under Jurgen Klopp and will be a superb acquisition for any club despite his struggles in Paris.

A return to the Premier League isn’t Wijnaldum’s only option. According to Sky Sports Italia (via @ForzaJuveEN), the Dutchman is the “latest name” on Juventus sporting director Federico Cherubini’s list.

However, the Bianconeri will only pursue a move if they’re able to sell Aaron Ramsey or Adrien Rabiot in January. Juve are particularly desperate to see the back of the Welshman this winter with a return to the Premier League a possibility.

Romeo Agresti reports that this is Juventus’ priority in the upcoming transfer window.
