Federico Bernardeschi (RW) – 8/10 – The versatile Italian was utilised everywhere by Allegri tonight. After a quiet opening as a touchline winger down the right, he was given the freedom to drift between the lines at the start of the second half and his influence increased ten-fold. Although, his ‘assist, if we’re giving it to him, came in the opening period. Bernardeschi was a thorn in the Cagliari defence throughout and he rounded off his display with a fine finish. Much deserved, it’s been a while.

Alvaro Morata (ST) – 6/10 – Morata worked hard throughout, was much improved when playing with his back to goal and looked menacing when given space to drive into. Unfortunately, there was little by way of final third production and the Spaniard was able to continue his rich vein of form in front of goal.

Moise Kean (LW) – 6.5/10 – It’s fair to say that Kean doesn’t like scoring the conventional goal. He had to adjust smartly to open the scoring in this one amid an ebullient first-half display. However, Kean faded considerably in the second half and he was forced off with a knock after 70 minutes.
