Federico Bernardeschi (RW) – 5.5/10 – A more subdued performance from Bernardeschi amid Chiesa’s return. The Italian harried and hassled, was secure with possession but he wasn’t the creative speak we saw before the break. He also had issues tracking the movements of the brilliant Insigne.

Alvaro Morata (ST) – 5/10 – Morata ran himself into the ground in this one, and he was important in a fine pressing performance in the first half. However, his display in possession wasn’t up to scratch. The Napoli defenders had their way with the forward, who struggled with his back to goal. He cut an isolated figure at times in the second period.

Federico Chiesa (LW) – 8/10 – Welcome back, young Sir. There was a hint of ‘hero ball’ in Chiesa’s performance tonight, with the player desperate to make up for lost time after a lengthy spell out. After a frustrating opening period littered with half-chances, Chiesa grabbed the equaliser with a deflected effort early in the second half. I’ve missed watching this superstar excite the masses every time he receives possession.
