Juventus will not loan out talented youngster Matias Soulé this January despite interest emerging from across Europe.

Soulé is regarded as one of the club’s most promising prospects and he made his senior debut off the bench in a 2-0 victory over Salernitana last December. While he’s been a regular feature on Massimiliano Allegri’s bench, Juventini have been treated to just four minutes of Soulé action this term.

Thus, with the Argentine’s opportunities limited, some have speculated whether Juve would loan the winger out this month so he can gain crucial experience at a senior level. The Bianconeri have been proactive in loaning out their most talented academy stars as of late. In the summer, we saw Radu Dragusin, Nicolo Fagioli, Filippo Ranocchia and Felix Correia all earn moves away.

Fagioli has been a particular success at Serie B outfit Cremonese.

Matias Soulé will stay at Juventus for the rest of 2021/22 despite loan links

According to Nicolo Schira, Sampdoria, who temporarily have Dragusin on their books, are interested in signing 18-year-old Soulé on loan this month. Schira speculates that this deal could happen swiftly after Tuesday night’s Coppa Italia round of 16 tie between the two sides with Soulé in contention to make his first senior start.

However, the reliable Romeo Agresti contradicts Schira’s claim. The Goal Italia reporter believes that despite Juve receiving several proposals from Italy and abroad for Soulé, they will keep him on their books for the remainder of the season.

The teenager is expected to join up with the Argentina national team at the end of January and Federico Chiesa’s injury could see him garner more opportunities for Allegri’s side during the second half of the season.
