Anthony Martial’s time at Manchester United is all but up and a move seems inevitable this month. The French forward has several options at his disposal with Juventus being one of them.

Martial has been thrust to the periphery by both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and interim boss Ralf Rangnick this term. Ahead of United’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday, Rangnick claimed that the Frenchman had refused to be a part of the German’s matchday squad, a claim the player later refuted on Instagram.

Nevertheless, the forward’s position at Old Trafford is untenable and the Red Devils are hopeful of overseeing a departure in January. Any move will be difficult to pull off, however, with Martial’s sky-high wages at United a deterrent for the majority of potential suitors.

Anthony Martial wants a move abroad with Juventus being an option

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Martial wants to leave United as soon as possible but he doesn’t want to stay in England. The 26-year-old isn’t interested in joining another Premier League club and he’s already rejected approaches from Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Frenchman wants a move overseas, even if it’s on an initial loan, and Romano reports that Juventus are currently one of three potential options for the forward. Sevilla and Barcelona are the other two.

However, if Martial was to leave on loan this month, United want a fee for his services and the entirety of his salary paid. That will surely put a striker-hungry Bianconeri off a move considering their precarious financial situation.

Nevertheless, Gianluca Di Marzio (via @ForzaJuventus) reported on Monday night that Juve had made “new contacts” over a move for the United wantaway. The Bianconeri, who are looking for a short-term solution at striker, will have to negotiate with the Red Devils over the player’s salary.
