Juventus are edging closer to signing Dusan Vlahović with Fiorentina ready to accept the club’s €75m proposal.

Vlahović was regarded as a dream target of the Bianconeri this year with the club in desperate need of a number nine to ignite their rebuild. They’d looked at Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca as a possible alternative to the expensive Serbian, but Juve have somehow, someway mustered up the cash to finance a deal for the 21-year-old.

Vlahović has been the subject of interest from clubs across Europe since the summer and Premier League outfit Arsenal made a big push to sign him this month. However, the striker was never keen on a move abroad, and Juventus has always been his number one choice.

Should he join before the deadline, Vlahović will join the likes of Roberto Baggio, Federico Bernardeschi and Federico Chiesa to have made the move from Florence to Turin.

Verbal agreement between Fiorentina and Juventus over Dusan Vlahovic transfer

Romeo Agresti was the first to report Juventus’ initial proposal to Fiorentina for Vlahović on Monday night.

Fabrizio Romano has since reported that the supposedly financially stricken Juve have made a massive €75m offer for the 21-year-old forward which La Viola are willing to accept. A “verbal agreement” is in place between the two clubs.

And while some sources have speculated that Vlahović has already agreed to a five-year contract with Juventus worth €7m-a-year, Romano believes Juve are still working on personal terms with the player. They aren’t expected to be an issue, however.

This is a deal that’s progressing rapidly, and Agresti understands the player is “getting closer” to Juventus.
