Juan Cuadrado (RM) – 5/10 – Cuadrado looked confused by his role before he dropped in at right-back midway through the second half. He wasn’t the reliable source of width Juve needed and he instead opted to drift all over the pitch which certainly inhibited his side’s possession structure.

Arthur Melo (CM) – 5/10 – As Sassuolo took control of the contest, Arthur Melo’s defensive flaws were laid bare. He struggled to cope with the fluidity of the Neroverdi throughout. With the ball, the Brazilian wasn’t his technically secure and efficient self.

Denis Zakaria (CM) – 5.5/10 – It wasn’t quite the dream outing as his debut proved to be for Zakaria in this one. The Swiss midfielder was inhibited by his side’s loose build-up and he struggled to have any impact before he was substituted on the hour.

Weston McKennie (CM) – 4.5/10 – McKennie’s ability to find space in the box was on full display tonight, but he couldn’t find the back of the net with a couple of great opportunities. Outside of these moments, the American was poor. He was so sloppy in possession and it was a surprise to see him last as long as he did.
