Assessing whether Juventus should resign or let go the players with expiring contracts

Okay, so far we’ve had four extensions. Something’s gotta give, right? Indeed, I do not envisage Perin extending with Juventus.

After enjoying several loan moves away, Juve opted to keep Perin on their books this term and he’s performed well when called upon. He’s a good goalkeeper, overall, and one that should be playing regularly.

Unfortunately for him, Wojciech Szczesny’s renaissance following a dismal start to the season has limited the Italian’s opportunities to shine between the sticks. Thus, I think, for the sake of his career, Perin should leave the club for free in the summer and see where free agency takes him. A mid-to-lower Serie A outfit will surely be happy to pick Perin up and deploy him as their starter for 2022/23.

Verdict: Let go
