Juventus midfield target Ryan Gravenberch will not renew his contract with Ajax and is expected to leave the Dutch giants in the summer. However, it’s Bayern Munich who are currently leading the race for his signature.

The Bianconeri were linked with an audacious move for Gravenberch in January as the club attempted to refresh their midfield once more. However, Juve never pursued a move for the teenager with Denis Zakaria arriving instead as a replacement for Rodrigo Bentancur, who signed for Tottenham.

However, Juve should have another chance of signing the precocious Dutchman in the summer with the latest reports suggesting that he’ll be on the move.

According to Dutch news outlet De Telegraaf, Gravenberch has decided against renewing his contract in Amsterdam. The 19-year-old’s current deal expires in the summer of 2023 and he wants to avoid leaving the club on a free transfer. That makes a departure at the end of the season likely.

The player had reportedly struck an agreement with former sporting director Marc Overmars, who recently left the club in disgrace, that he would be sold this summer.

German behemoths Bayern are currently leading the race for the midfielder’s signature and it’s believed that a bid in the region of €25m to €30m would convince Ajax to sell. Mike Verweij (via @TheEuropeanLad) reports that the Bavarians have already made contact with the player’s entourage over a potential move.

However, several other top clubs have also expressed an interest in the Dutch teenager and Juventus are expected to be a part of the Gravenberch sweepstake in the summer.

According to Paolo Nonmollo (via @BianconeriZone), the Bianconeri are happy to offer Ajax €25m for the midfielder and sign Gravenberch to a four-year contract. The club are expected to part ways with Adrien Rabiot at the end of the season and they could target the Ajax starlet as his replacement.
