Oof, not quite!

Vlahovic’s displays against Atalanta and Torino, contests in which he was out-duelled by stellar man-markers Merih Demiral and Gleison Bremer, cost him this month’s award. He averaged a rating of 5.0 in those two outings.

Otherwise, the statement January arrival was quite superb. His Juventus career got off to the perfect start against Hellas Verona and he concluded the month in some style by scoring an expertly-taken brace at Empoli. Both of those finishes were unerringly efficient.

Oh, and he made a bit of European history, too. Scoring 30 seconds into your Champions League debut isn’t for everyone, eh?
