Juventus bounced back from their Champions League exit by beating Salernitana 2-0 in Serie A on Sunday afternoon.

The victory, which came courtesy of first-half goals from Paulo Dybala and Dusan Vlahovic, saw Juve extend their unbeaten run in the league to 16 games as they closed the gap on league leaders AC Milan to seven points.

The Bianconeri impressed during the opening 45 minutes before sleepwalking through the second period amid a flat display.

Here are the Juventus player ratings from the victory.

Wojciech Szczesny (GK) – 6/10 – Szczesny claimed the high ball well and made a smart save from Federico Bonazzoli in the second half. A good day’s work.

Mattia De Sciglio (RB) – 7/10 – Lord De Sciglio added to his assist haul on Sunday when his cross was met by the grateful Vlahovic to double Juve’s advantage. This was another sturdy showing from the Italian, who was Juve’s best performer in the defeat to Villarreal.

Matthijs de Ligt (CB) – 6.5/10 – A quiet afternoon quickly became very busy for De Ligt after half-time as Juve’s defensive line deepened and Max Allegri opted to cede more control to the opposition. The Dutchman coped well, however, even if the towering Milan Duric beat him in the air once or twice.

Giorgio Chiellini (CB) – 6/10 – The veteran’s return lasted just 45 minutes before he was replaced by Daniele Rugani. Wasn’t troubled at all.

Luca Pellegrini (LB) – 7.5/10 – Harsh booking for simulation aside, Pellegrini was excellent.
